CONSTANT VELOCITY (CV) JOINTS fail for several reasons, most often because of torn or aged boots. The
first indication many drivers have that there is a problem is a clunking noise in the front end. Once the noise is there the main
components are normally beyond repair. Replacing the boots and CV joints is an option but normally this is more expensive than
a remanufactured or sometimes even a new axel. In addition to the price it may require special tools to pull the old joint. That is
why we normally recommend replacing the complete unit with a quality remanufactured axel. In some cases new units are
available at competitive prices. Remanufactured units are sold on an exchange basis and require a deposit until the old unit is
returned. Please give us a call 877-525-5233 or send us an email info@steering-suspension.com and we can help you decide
what is your best option.
